What is a Wide Body Truck?
Tianjin Port– Two of our company’s newly developed mine wide-body trucks are all set to depart Tianjin Port bound for Saudi Arabia. This isn’t just a routine shipment; it’s a major milestone in our push into international markets, and the start of a new phase in how we serve the global mining sector. Beyond showcasing our products’ strong competitive edge on the world stage, this delivery also speaks to how we’ve nailed market trends – and our steadfast focus on protecting what matters most to our customers.
Designed to deliver exceptional performance, the mine wide-body trucks are set to make a powerful market debut, driving customers to unlock new revenue growth. Tailored for harsh mining environments, these trucks excel in a variety of working conditions, including coal earthwork stripping, heavy-duty uphill and downhill operations in metal mines, as well as ore and earthwork transportation under heavy-load cyclic conditions.
At the heart of the truck lies the Yuchai K16 engine, boasting an impressive 570kW of power output while maintaining outstanding fuel efficiency. In common working scenarios, its fuel consumption ranges from 173 to 195 g/kW.h, 3% lower than that of competitors under the same conditions.
Equipped with a high-efficiency transmission with 3000 Nm torque, the truck achieves a 2% higher transportation efficiency compared to rivals using 2800 Nm torque transmissions. Its radiator features a double-diagonal fin design, significantly enhancing heat dissipation efficiency and further contributing to fuel economy. Additionally, the innovative adoption of transmission power take-off for the lifting oil pump ensures the pump only operates during lifting, minimizing useless work and reducing fuel consumption by another 2% compared to dual-pump systems.
Built for heavy-duty reliability, the truck is equipped with heavy-duty axles, supporting a rated load of 91T and a middle-rear axle load capacity of 55T. The integrated flexible frame is specially designed for extreme working conditions, greatly improving fatigue resistance and extending the service life. The cargo box tailgate, made of material with a yield strength of 690MPa, effectively resists impact loads and enhances structural stability in harsh environments.
"These mine wide-body trucks have delivered outstanding performance in practical operations," a customer commented. "They offer low noise, comfortable driving experience, responsive braking, and flexible handling, making them particularly suitable for narrow and complex road conditions in mines, which significantly improves operation efficiency and safety."
Sending these trucks to Saudi Arabia isn’t just a shipment—it’s proof of our product strength and growing international footprint. Looking ahead, we’ll keep prioritizing technological innovation, crafting more high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Our goal? To meet the varied needs of customers worldwide and play a bigger role in advancing the global mining sector.
